Cornelia von Kerssenbrock
 
 Cornelia von Kerssenbrock has studied „Church Music“ at the Salzburg  „Mozarteum“ (Austria), conducting at the Freiburg Music Academy (Germany) with Dr Peter Gülke and at the „Accademia Musicale Chigiana“ in Siena (Italy) with Gianluigi Gelmetti. Additional she attended masterclasses with Jorma Panula (Helsinki), Paul Goodwin (London/UK), Mariusz Smolij (Houston/USA), Kirk Trevor (Knoxville/USA) and others.

In 1999 at the „Handel Festival Halle“ (Germany) she was awarded the Handel prize and "The Vienna Ministry of Culture" (Austria) made her an honorary award for 1995/96. Since 2001 she is a member of the german promoting programm “Dirigentenforum” of the German “Musikrat”.

 She now works as a freelance conductor where she has conducted several  orchestras such as the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra Hannover/ NDR, the Philharmonic State Orchestra Halle/Saale, the "Musikalische Komödie"/Leipzig, the Orchestra of State Theater Kassel, the Orchestra of the State Theater Mainz, the Munich Symphonic Orchestra, the Youth Orchestra Berlin, the Barockorchester La Beata Olanda (Freiburg) and others.

She is working regularly with orchestras from Czech Republic, Romania, Ukrainia and Georgian orchestras like the Georgian State Symphony Orchestra, The Radio Symphonic Orchestra Tiflis and the State Opera Tbilisi.

Regarding Opera she performed in summer 2002 „the merry wifes of  Windsor“/ O.Nicolai at the  „Internationalen Musikfestival im Chiemgau“ with the Munich Symphonic Orchestra,  2002/2003 the operetta "The Bird Seller" / C.Zeller with the K&K Philharmonic Orchestra (Lemberg/Ukrainia) in the "Alte Oper Frankfurt", Wiesbaden Kurhaus, Karlsruhe Brahmssaal, Stuttgart Liederhalle etc.
In Okt/Nov. 2003 she conducted Händel "Amadigi" (State Conservatory Tbilisi/Georgia) and Verdi "Rigoletto" (State Opera Tbilisi/Georgia and State Opera Baku/Aserbeidschan).
